Calif. Supreme Court to take up Prop. 8 Print E-mail
Opinion - Moderate & Independent

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — California's highest court agreed Wednesday to hear several legal challenges to the state's new ban on same-sex marriage but refused to allow gay couples to resume marrying before it rules.

Would someone please explain to me why conservatives feel the need to dictate to other people how they should live their lives?
What gave them the right to tell other people who they can and cannot marry?  Would they feel the same way if they were told what church they could or could not attend?  What business is it of theirs if two people of the same sex profess love for each other and want to marry?  Just how does it effect their lives any?  What is the Conservative Right scared of?

Once upon a time, the law of the land said that some people could own other people.  That didn't make it right and it was changed.

Years from now, history will look back in amusement at the efforts to stop same-sex marriages.

Some people are just scared of change.
