You will get a kick out of this one: New York Gov. David Paterson was attending an off-the-record dinner, the Gridiron, which is a time where people can make fun of each other and do skits in the nice wide open. Paterson made sure to make no exception of course. Apparently he is not happy with the title Governor and wants to aim higher. In his speech he noted his real goal: to follow in Barack Obama's footsteps and be president of the United States, because "Once you go black, you don't go back." Yet, somehow we (conservatives and Republicans) are the ones who bring race into it? I know that it was intended as a joke, but I am tired of hearing race and religion brought into our politics. We pick leaders based on their skill sets, not on the color of their skin. I guess it really gets to be because if someone on the right had said that you know the hounds would of been released. Every activist group you can think of would be calling on conservatives to condemn such behavior. Its time for the people on the left to stop being hypocrites.
