Obama Personnel Questionnaire Shows Anti-gun Bias Well we already kind of know Obama's position on guns, but if you do not here is a copy from his website:
I first want to touch on that, and then I will head into Obama's anti-gun bias. The first part is so vague its laughable; I have a good friend of mine who is very anti-gun. To her, it is commonsense to ban all firearms, yes every last one of them. We do not know what he considers to be commonsense and that troubles me. Second there really is no "gun show loop hole", let me explain. When you go to a gun show, most of the vendors there are true registered vendors. If you purchase a firearm from them you have to pass a full ATF background check, just like you would at any other store. Now lets say you buy a gun from a individual that his business is not to sell guns, he just wants to get rid of one. In that case you would not have to pass a background check. The point there is that if you want to truly solve the so called "gun show loop hole" you would have to ban the transfer of firearms from individuals; and that is just plain retarded. If I want to sell my firearm to a buddy of mine, that should be my choice. Also on the gun being childproof, that's already a law. I have to ensure that my guns are locked away so that a child can not get to them. If you think your going to be able to childproof them like we do medication, your only going to make it where the kids get into it just as easy but then people will not be able to defend themselves because they can't get the safety off. I personally carry (yes I have a Texas CHL for you that may think I am breaking a law), I feel it is my right to be able to do so, and protect myself if the situation should arise. Now how often I actually carry, that is none of your business. I carry with my firearm loaded and no safety. Moreover, I have also been around firearms most of my life. I probably shot my first rifle around 8 years old. Do you want to take a guess at how many accidents I have had? Not a single accident, not even a minor one. On the assault weapons ban, they need to do their research. I have heard too many say they wish to ban it cause its scary, or looks scary and aggressive. They did a study during the last assault weapons ban and they found that crime did not decrease by any amount. There has also not been a rise in crime with assault weapons. Simply put, criminals do not use assault weapons. They are too expensive, too bulky, and way too noticeable. Most of the owners of these types of firearms just enjoy them. I personally enjoy going to the range myself. Honestly, they did a study and firearm sports are the safest in the nation (including hunting) if you take the number of deaths and injuries caused by it. The top spot winner was football, maybe by Obama's reasoning we should ban football. It is killing innocent children is it not? Now on to why Obama has shown some bias to gun owners. Take a look at this question from a questionnaire for jobs in the Obama administration:
Now my thinking is why did he not ask any questions about other personal property such as cars? We have by far more deaths due to automobile accidents than firearms. You know maybe we should ban cars too? I would think that Obama would have asked these questions: how many people in your immediate family own a car? Are all of the vehicles registered? Has the vehicle registration ever lapsed? Has anyone in your immediate family ever caused bodily injury or death with a vehicle? I think these are important questions to ask don't you? Granted, I know that a gun mishap would be embarrassing to Obama and he should know, but he is very unclear about this and you would think he would check for other mishaps that could come up.
