Ayers: Obama and I actually are friends Print E-mail

Well that's the shocker of the year, not. So what does that mean to Americans? That Barack Obama was lying to us the entire time as he dismissed the Ayers as just "a guy who lives in my neighborhood." The good news, if there is any, we all already knew that.

Either way here is the spin on it:

In a new afterword to his 2001 book, Bill Ayers, former leader of the 1960s radical group Weather Underground, describes President-elect Barack Obama as a “family friend” and denies he wished his group had set off more bombs in the 1960s.

Ayers, a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, adds few new details about his relationship with Obama in the afterword to Fugitive Days: Memoirs of an Anti-War Activist. The book is being reissued this month.

We had served together on the board of a foundation, knew one another as neighbors and family friends, held an initial fund-raiser at my house, where I’d made a small donation to his earliest political campaign,” he writes.

But right-wing commentators tried to use those connections to smear Obama, he says.

“Obama’s political rivals and enemies apparently saw an opportunity to deepen a dishonest narrative about him, that he is somehow un-American, alien, linked to radical ideas, a closet terrorist, a sympathizer with extremism,” Ayers wrote.

Looks like the truth is not really a smear tactic now does it? This jackass will be on Good Morning America tomorrow promoting his book. I wonder if Diane Sawyer will ask how how is friend President-Elect Barack Obama is doing?

In closing I am curious if this will sway anyone's opinion on Barack Obama? Its highly doubtful and obviously too late, I am just curious.

Would this change your opinion on Obama?

I'm not going to change my opinion of Pres Elect Obama, I didn't vote for him
because of questionable background, political views, his REAL agenda for
America.

I was not surprised to see the GMA interview after the campaign
instead of during. Again the power of the left wing media to shape minds of
people.

Go Socialism!

Hard to keep denying it when things like this come out.
